The Midlife Dementia show

A radio show once broadcast as a podcast, You can listen to some of the back catalogue at http://themidlifedementiashow.mypodcast.com/ and at www.myspace.com/dementiashow for clips of previous sketches. Now live on air the first Tuesday of the month on http://www.manchesterradioonline.com/ You can listen from all over the world Next show is Tuesday March 3rd 7-10pm uk time.

You don’t have to be middle aged nor do you have to be demented, maybe it helps but if you fall into those categories you may feel confused, disorientated and odd so it doesn’t really matter anyway.

Andy Whitaker, Andy Clegg and Col Smith - The three Amigos. They are hilarious. They bounce off each other with their witty repertoire which comes naturally to them. Andy Whitaker is the main trouble maker and conductor of the show whose dry wit and ability not to laugh at the absurdity of the fake interviews and sketches they perform is pure brilliance. Col is the master of disguise and can mimic any accent and change his voice so effectively, if it wasn’t for Andy Clegg breaking out into fits of giggles you would have difficulty distinguishing the spoof from reality.

It’s surreal, pyschedelic, warped and twisted but immense amounts of fun which makes this radio show a must for anyone wishing to escape from the drudgery of day to day living. They manage to address current affairs in a humorous way which bizarrely puts things into perspective and mocks the sheep of society who take life much too seriously.

The new music they play is new, fresh and alternative. It’s not the stuff other radio shows try to condition you into liking from overplaying. They give unsigned and underexposed artists a chance to be heard.

Listeners are encouraged to join in with the madness by emailing the studio at Studio@manchesterradioonline.com with zany and obscure comments and topics which the 3 Amigos’ thrive upon and incorporate into the show in what would seem like an effortless task.

If you’re looking for a pep or a tonic look no further…..

Same applies if you don’t want to know what the time is or what the weather is doing.
